Bishop Road Buccaneers Covid-19 Guidance – September 2020
All training and matches will be conducted in accordance with guidance from the FA and the providers of the facility where the training or matches take place.
This document provides a summary of the key points which all parents/ carers must consent to on behalf of themselves and their children. It will not be possible to allow any players to attend training or matches without this consent. By consenting you will be confirming you have read and understood this guidance.
If you are displaying symptoms of the virus or have been in contact with someone displaying symptoms within the last 2 weeks, then you must stay at home until an NHS practitioner advises you that you no longer need to remain in isolation.
Each player should
Arrive at training and matches changed and ready to play;
Bring their own water bottle and hand sanitiser – which should be marked with their name. Please don’t share these;
Be aware of and know how to maintain social distancing – please make the players aware of this as best you can and remind them frequently;
Try to move through pinch points such as entrances to Bishop Road School field quickly. Clear potentially busy areas as soon as possible. Encourage others to do the same.
Coaching and Matches
Coaching will take place in groups of no more than 30 (including coaches)
Physical contact is allowed during training and matches but social distancing should be observed during breaks, before and after training.
Parents and carers are responsible for their children’s safety.
Parents and carers can watch but should not be in groups of more than 6 and should maintain social distancing.
Balls will be cleaned after matches and training.
Handling the balls during matches and training should be avoided where possible.
First Aid
Coaches cannot provide first aid unless a life or limb threatening situation occurs. Parents and carers will need to be on hand to deal with first aid requirements.
If a player / spectator / coach becomes Covid-19 symptomatic during training or a match, they must remove themselves from the session and return home to follow government guidelines.
Please avoid
It is important that we discourage all players and spectators from physical contact including goal celebrations and handshakes.
Please make sure your child knows to avoid spitting at all times.
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS GUIDANCE, FOLLOW IT AND ENCOURAGE ALL OTHERS TO DO THE SAME – THANKS!
