Club Contacts and Safeguarding

Stay Safe, Have Fun, Enjoy Football!

Bishop Road Buccaneers FC is committed to ensuring that every child or young person playing football with the club is able to take part in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from poor practice and abuse regardless of their age, gender, disability, culture, language, racial origin, religious beliefs or sexual orientation.

All suspicions and allegations of poor practice or abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately by the club. This includes all forms of bullying or harassment.

Buccaneer Coaches are DBS checked and easily identified by their coaching kit that is issued to them when they are DBS Checked.

Club Contacts and Complaints Procedure

If you have a child welfare or safeguarding concern:

  • Please contact the Buccaneers CWO.

  • If it is an emergency because a child or children are at immediate risk, then call the Police or Children’s Social Care.

If you have a complaint that is football related, you should do the following:

  • Talk to one of your year group coaches and try to resolve the matter

  • If this is not possible or if this does not work, contact the Club Chairman

In matters relating to child protection, YOU must act. Do not assume that somebody else will.
